For sick visits:
All sick visits are made by appointment only.
Please call at the earliest time after the office opens so that we may make an appointment to see your child the same day. Immediate urgent visits can be scheduled when medically necessary.
For chronic, ongoing concerns:
Please let the receptionist know so they can schedule appropriate time for the appointment or consultation.
Should a life-threatening emergency arise (child cannot breathe, major trauma/laceration) you should call 911 immediately.
Most of life's problems are less severe, and we maintain 24 hour coverage, 7 days a week, 365 days a year in order to help you through urgent problems that eventually come up from time to time. If our office is open, simply call and arrangements will be made to care for your child.
If our office is closed, please call our main number and our answering service will place you in contact with our Pediatric Triage Line where a Registered Nurse, trained in pediatric urgent and emergency care will consult with you. The triage nurse may directly advise further medical evaluation if deemed necessary. No system is 100% perfect, and if you have waited 30 minutes and have not been called back, please phone the office again.
Please keep in mind that our after-hours telephone is for urgent and emergency problems. Questions concerning office hours, routine appointments, and accounting questions should be made when the office is open.
